Dimanche 9 Octobre. 1904. - - - This is a graphically handsome and colorful rendering of “Chief Joseph” on his death bed, surrounded by warriors and family before his tent, as a symbolic massacre takes place in the background. Almost a full column of text appears on page 2 in discussion of Chief Joseph, to include calling him the “Napoleon of Indians.” The print constitutes the entire front-page of Le Petit Journal for October 9th, 1904 (Numero 725) of which we offer here the complete eight page issue.
